SLIP'25 – Environmental Noise Prediction Software

SLIP is a consistent, robust, intuitive and powerful engineering software for environmental noise modelling. The program is well established in Switzerland.

SLIP is continuously improved and adapted to the increasing demands of the practice and the needs of the users. With the new version, SLIP'25, the area of application and the functionality of the software have been further expanded.

SLIP is available in German and French.

System requirements: Windows ≥7, 64-bit; Intel/AMD x86-64 CPU, ≥2 cores; ≥8 GB RAM.

Rich calculation possibilities

The following calculation models are implemented in SLIP'25 (full version):

• Road noise: SonRoad18^IMPROVED, StL-86+ extended with reflections^IMPROVED and tunnel portal;
• Railway noise: SEMIBEL extended with reflections and tunnel portal;
• Point and area sources: propagation according to ISO 9613^IMPROVED.

Meteorological effects^IMPROVED can be considered in calculations based on ISO 9613 (incl. SonRoad18). SLIP'25 includes the old and the new (second) edition of ISO9613^{NEW [BETA]} (also relevant for SonRoad18).

The Light version of SLIP is a reduced edition that includes only road-noise calculation models; this is the only difference to the full version (all other features and capabilities are identical).

Interfaces for CAD and GIS

The import/export functionality of SLIP^IMPROVED allows efficient data exchange with CAD and GIS software:

• Raster: TIFF, JPEG, PNG, BMP and a WMS-interface^IMPROVED.
• Vector: SHAPE, QSI, DXF, KML (Google Earth and Google Maps), XYZ (MNT) and ESRI Grid.

Effective management of large data volumes

Data available for noise modeling can be highly detailed. Thus, projects with a huge amount of data can be quickly created. SLIP offers several tools and functionality for an effective management of large data volumes.

Plans and other visualizations

SLIP'25 has many functions for the creation of plans. Legend, scale, title-block (for the title-page), page format and orientation can be specified and stored with each printout element.

And compelling presentations in Google Earth can be easily created that contain immissions for receiver points and surfaces.
